Facilitation & Training

The development of the Book Sprint facilitation methodology came through trial and error experimentation over 4 years by Adam Hyde. Most of the main ideas were borrowed and adapted from unconferences methods (particular thanks must go to Allen Gunn for his inspired examples of unconference facilitation).

After 4 years of experimentation it was obvious Book Sprints have enormous potential and there was a need to pass on the experiences gained and encourage others to extend and explore the process. Some of those attending Book Sprints had tried the process (namely Mushon Zer Aviv and Michael Mandiberg) themselves and succeeded in facilitating sprints. On the other side it has become apparent through observing other attempts that without experiencing a Book Sprint the chances of successfully facilitating a Book Sprint is much less likely.

Hence we are establishing BookSprints.net as a place to offer facilitation services,  train other facilitators and to share facilitation experiences in the interest of growing and strengthening the facilitation method. We firmly believe that while anyone can try facilitating a Book Sprint there is an enormous amount to be gained by attending Book Sprints conducted by an experienced facilitator and being mentored/trained by experienced facilitators.

For more information on training and facilitation please contact us directly at info@booksprints.net or contact a local office (listed on the contacts page).
