TDLC Operations Manual

As the Tokyo Development Learning Center (TDLC) is preparing for its third phase, they are convening a Book Sprint this week in central Tokyo to write an operations manual. The goal is to both codify the staff’s tacit knowledge around the TDLC procedures, develop mechanisms for the new components of the third phase, and to streamline the collaboration between TDLC and their partners.

To this end, fifteen contributors came together from TDLC and their partner organizations – the Tokyo DRM-Hub, the World Bank Tokyo office (ECRJP), the World Bank Social, Urban, Rural & Resilience Global Practice (GSURR), and the World Bank Cross-cutting Solutions Area (CCSA).

Discussing the outline of each section

After discussing the scope of the document, collecting and then structuring the ideas within that framework, the group began to outline the first six of more than a dozen sections of the operations manual to be finished by Friday.

This Book Sprint is facilitated by Barbara Rühling.
