Responsible Data Book Sprint

Shooting our hard drive into space and other ways to practise responsible development data Produced with Engine Room Responsible Data Program

This Monday we started a three-day Book Sprint organized by the Engine Room to write a Responsible Data Toolkit as a guide for organizations working in the field of development, aid, and human rights. The Book Sprint is taking place in the countryside close to Amsterdam, in a beautiful homey building and no distractions anywhere in sight.

The group started off by the first day discussing the scope of the book and outlining the structure. The book will roughly follow the lifecycle of data throughout a project and the potential issues that may have to be confronted at each step. Then the writing began and will continue until Wednesday evening when the book shall be ready for publishing.
